Antelope Valley Poppy Reserve

Those of you who can get up to the Antelope Valley Poppy Reserve this week, go and bring your wife, kids, family, girlfriend, boyfriend, dog or whomever, and all your camera equipment. We just got back from there a little while ago. It was an especially good year for the wildflowers and this is what it looks like for miles around. Don't miss it. Stunning. Unbelievable. Orange. You can't sit among the poppies in the actual reserve, but you can pull off road outside the park and walk into the fields. We, and hundreds of other professional and amateur photographers were doing the same thing. Go on a weekday if possible and it will probably be a lot less crowded.

WOW! I'm colorblind and that's still amazing hot colors. Dig how that vibrant orange winds up into the hills in the background

I shared these with Sue... she LOVES poppies, but we have never been able to get them to grow in any yard we've had. We will have to make arrangements to go check them out next year.

Thanks for sharing!

Stay awake? Is that a Wizard of Oz reference?
