My old Junior High, High School best friend, Lewis Hall connected with me via Facebook.
I saw every film in the Psychotronic Encylopedia of film with Lewis at Drive In dusk to dawn showings at the Hillcrest, Riviera, 14 Flags and Sooner Twin in Oklahoma City.
Including the incredible Blood Feast and 2000 Maniacs.
"Feel how shawp that blade is."

The Underground MMA.TV forum had Gene LeBell offering to take questions. I offered up....
"Did Steve Martin require much prep when you did the high crotch lift into a garbage can scene in Dead Men Don't Wear Plaid?"
LeBell.."Mr. Wind: "Steve Martin is my favorite living comedian and he was a super athlete when we shot our films together. When you lift somebody by the crotch they don't need any prep, they just jump."
I have a lot of LeBell's books and video. I'm just a huge fan of the idea of Gene LeBell. Toughest man on Earth. It was a kick to have him give me a funny answer from what has to be an infinite library of anecdotes on Hollywood stunt work.
Arrgh. I had Gene's name spelled wrong initially. Sorry about that Gene. (Don't want that guy mad at me.)

Home to TAG for a fun time period.
Used to look out onto a fenced in vacant lot. With an slow moving army of bums in motion between there and Market street.
Now it looks into the Petco park outfield. Sigh
Miraculous it still exists. Must have been historic preservation.

Scans from a hugely influential book I picked up when I was an impressionable teen.
A lot of the artists went on to form the whole Underground Comix movement of that era.
Wonder Wart-Hog Captain Crud and Other Super Stuff. Most of it as bad as the cover art. But filled with lots of crazy energy.

I did the hacksaw work and hired a welder to attach the pedals to channel iron. The bicycle cost 5 bucks at a garage sale. Might have been stolen. It was a slightly rusty but perfectly good bike. Until I decided I needed it's heart. I guess the pedals would be a bicycles heart.
Not shown, the top of this hardware is for chin ups. That way you hold yourself steady and get a mini chinup out of every revolution of the pedals.

I've discovered a fun way to make MP3 files for easy inport into Flash. Call yourself and leave a message. The grand central web site has a download button to send it to your local hard drive.
I haven't figured out how shorten my messages. They all play for a minimum 28 seconds. I can shorten them in flash of course.
