San Diego Comic Fest: Oct 2012

Saw this on my brother's (Peter's) blog today ...

He says the organizers are actively trying to contact local TAGsters for ARTIST ALLEY participation, guide book artwork, and more.

Peter went to the 2nd meeting of volunteers a couple of days ago, and posted about it on his own blog ...

He's also posting more info to the TAG page on Facebook.

I shared this somewhere. But I don't think I got back to Peter about it. It was a direct message on twitter I think. Sounds perfect. The offshoot upstart convention trend is good.

I suspected that someone would do this sooner or later. The CCI is just too friggin' big now. However, limiting to 1000 attendees may be a bit too small to sustain. I think that conventions need to provide vendors with a larger group of attendees in order to generate enough business to make it worth their while.

I hope I'm wrong and that this is a great success. If I still lived in SD you can bet that I would attend!

So this is an event running simultaneous to the 'Con? Or a different time altogether?

I guess I should check out the link....

Sigh ...
I had a feeling putting the date in the title might be a mistake.
