I GOT NUTHIN

Well I've somewhat wrapped up that art for that kids game thingie I've been working on and off the last 3 months. Got my last check today, so it will be back to EBay and the other odd jobs I have. I might have some other work next month if this deal I've been waiting on pans out. The Game thing was a first stage deal, it gets delivered in August so hopefully they will follow up on the second stage in the fall. Still NOT enough money by any means but it gets me from point A to B. I would post some of the recent stuff but to tell the truth, I was rather disappointed in the last batch. More of a GET it done deal....and I hate shit like that. As for drawing, I've not had much time to focus on it outside of doodles so in the interim, heres a few shots of my Destroy All Monsters lineup on my bookshelf. Enjoy.

These guys look great! I loved that movie. And the title still cannot be beat (I believe there was a fanzine and a band so named in the last 10-15 years, and neither came close to fulfilling promise of their {stolen!} name).

Jimmy, hope you find something good real soon. How 'bout you take one of Ron Thompson's drawings he's posted here and colorize it?? You can become TAG's official colorist. Ron pays pretty good, too....

Hang in there, pal. It's what we are all doing!

Love the models... did you paint those guys or did they come like that?

Man ...I don't even have cool action figures to photograph and post (although I do have a cool Rat Fink bobble head I got at Comic Con two years ago (still in the box), but perhaps I'll do a new piece of art for next Tuesday ... Hang in there, Jim.

Naw Rick, Those are pre-painted/assembled. I think I'm going to start cataloging all my figures this summer. Also selling most of the action figure stuff too. Thin the herd.

Heh... Jim, when I first read your last comment I thought it said "Thin the nerd"

This has been out of production for over 3 years. These things get expensive after they sell out

They get rarer by the day. I haven't seen a 68 Anguirus in about 7 months. He went for $700. Gorosaurus was their first 30cm kaiju and came out in 2008. You could look for one by Bandai Museum and you'll pay around $100. It's not at accurate as the X-plus and is smaller. I sold mine back then to offset the cost of the X-plus one.

I was afraid you where going to say something like that.

You have all the COOL monsters, Jim!

Yeah, that's because I get them fresh off the griddle. Yeah, these things are getting harder to keep up. I expect Mothra (winged) soon. And I found out the remaining 3 from DAM are coming by years end, Varan, Kumonga and 1964 King Ghidorah. Then there will be about 6 assorted kaiju from the other films. Then NO more. I'll have them all. And I'll stop collecting those. I dumped most of my Bandai and other misc companies and concentrated on this one company. I'm in the process of dumping the action figures, candy toys, 1/6 scale GI joe type stuff. My vinyl Billikens and this will be my collection in the end. That should be enough. I can't store this stuff and lots of stuff is in bins. sizing it all down and keeping the primo stuff is enough now at this point in my life. Same thing with books.
