Went quick.
Had to make up a little bit as I went along.
Will still do some tones etc.

Coming along very nicely, but I'd like to read the previous pages again. How long ago were they posted?

Yeesh. I've got the thumb on the wrong side on the guy cracking his back.

I'll re-post the finished product in a couple of days Tom. Hopefully.

This looks great, Elz! What a fun story!! Really nice art.

I've reversed a few thumbs in my time....

Elz, is this a story you wrote, or did you come up with it in collaboration? What is the proposed venue for this?

Because it would look just PERFECT in "GORGON, The Magazine."

Just got back from the printer yesterday...talking prices on my comic. Hoping to get 'em for about a $1.10 per copy. Print Ninja can do 'em for .57 cents, but then shipping bumps it up toward a buck. Rather do it with a local company.

I want it in Gorgon. I'll tell the writer that is where we will be publishing.

Now I have to finish it. Starting again in a couple of hours.. If I get two pages today, I have one page left.

Marty, is that the price for the Teen Ellis comic? How many pages? What's the name of the local printing company?

Tom and co.: re: my Teen Ellis comic pricing: I asked for an estimate of 44 page B&W plus color cover...they came back with estimate of $4,000 for 1,500 copies.

YIKES!

That's too high...I'll have to find someplace else. Probably Print Ninja.

Where I priced out a Tom Moon 8.5" x 11" HARDCOVER, full-color 64 page "children's book"...can get 1,000 of 'em printed and shipped for the price of printing my measly comic locally. Print Ninja--check it out, Moon!

Why don't you try doing a Kickstarter for printing your comic Marty? Weren't you the one who showed me the Kickstarter for "Book of Da"? They racked up $17,324 on a $3000 goal.

Rick, didn't you say that a friend of yours financed his comic printing through Kickstarter?

Kickstarter. All those annoying rewards. Keep it simple if you do that.

No way am I subjecting myself to the humiliation of Kickstarter without some major track record (and following!) behind me.

Besides, where I'm at, I shouldn't be doing stuff like that and just bummin' donations off friends/family...happy to support my fellow artists that have earned it, but as of yet I haven't.

Fer the record, "EARNED IT" includes everyone else on this blog. Just not me--not until I get a WHOLE book out there.

Looking great Ellis! Love this kind of stuff! This single page sets up all of the characters really well and the situation is pretty clear... and I'm guessing this doesn't end well for anyone but the Demon.
Yes, my friend Kevin Hanna did a Kickstarter to fund his comic Creature Academy. It went well for him, getting well beyond his initial goal. https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1588801126/creature-academy-the-legacy-a-steampunk-graphic-no
