Mostly sketches. Occasionally a painting. Nothing political other than caricatures reinforcing the truism "Politics is Show Business for Ugly People".
Ha! That's cool that Remmer was there...Looks like you guys had a lot o' laffs!
You would have had a great time Marty. I hope I'm around for the second one. I think I want to write a POD novel and hawk it in the dealers room. That was what impressed me most. The number of young writers selling their books. One 17 year old whipper snapper seemed very Asimov-esh.
Damn all prodigal talent anyway
This Mark OBannon fellow was on several panels. Apparently the king of E books. Does really big numbers and had the most to say about self promotion.
Remmer has become a Paintertainment host. People have art supplies and booze. They follow Jeff and a woman artist as they paint onstage. The inebriated audience copies the steps to a successful painting.4 steps, stop along the way, BS with the paying customers and give them hints and a hand on the project. He had some good stories to tell. Caught me up on a lot of BlueSky people.
The publishing sounds really interesting, El. But a Pod novel?? I guess I better click on the link and learn....Dang, wish I coulda been there!Movers are coming Monday. I'll be in So Cal shortly.
