I bought That 12w cintiq

I'll review it when I get it and play with it a bit. 1000 bucks. My IRS refund, bye bye.

Whoa ... I think mine is going into replacing 13-year-old appliances (especially the leaky dishwasher ...). Wish a Cintiq could do the dishes, too ... ;-)

I got Wacom's Cintiq 21UX last September and I can say it was worth every penny. It has saved me a ton of time on some freelance work (which has put a dent into offsetting the cost). Ironically, the little 11" Cintiq is probably a better option for most artists. My one one and only complaint about the 21UX is the absolute lack of any ergonomics on the big display. The 21" monitor is heavy and cumbersome. The monitor stand alleviates this problem to a degree (allows you to pivot and rotate the display), but I have yet to find a position that allows me to comfortably have one hand on the keyboard and one hand on the screen for any prolonged length of time. I invariably get way more arm and shoulder fatigue than I would if I were drawing flat on a table. I thnk having a smaller footprint affords the artist a bit more flexibility, which you'll appreciate, Ellis. You don't get the screen real estate (handy for broad strokes), but if you are used to sketching small anyway, then I think it's not a bad trade-off.

I'm interested in your review.

Ronnie, I'll let you know. I hope to start a little comic book work with the new tool.

I want to know too! I'm trying to convince John to get one- he has the 21" monitor- which is good for him, 'cause he draws with unusually big strokes! I on the other hand am I small girl, and would rather use something in the it's a small world after all department like 12.

Can John K afford one? It's been a long time since Ren and Stimpy. So long ago that people on this forum worked on the Sega Genesis game version.
Rememeber that Bluesky guys.
