Mostly sketches. Occasionally a painting. Nothing political other than caricatures reinforcing the truism "Politics is Show Business for Ugly People".
You're a maestro with the digital colors. Very pleasing how it all come together.
You should be happy with it. It came out supah! Wonderful colors. I'm glad you included the chandelier.
Makes a great Tuesday sketch post.
That's lovely, Rick!It makes me want to jump into the world of Creeple for an extended visit ... as in a feature-length film. Have you gotten any offers for such yet?
Super cool! It's very interesting how adding the atmospherics really influenced the final's cohesion. My instinct would have been to darken the BKG, brighten the fore (or really, mid-ground) people, and pop things that way--but you went the opposite, and it looks great. I esp'ly like the way you've darkened the foreground elements, and how that's worked to drop them back. I look at this and I see the work of someone who is really interesting in building a world/environment and populating it with creatures. And the world has such a unique feel to it. It really draws me in.... It all makes for a great prelude to a story...fer instance, I don't think anyone viewing my Mr. & Mrs. Frankenstein illustration would be particularly interested in reading a story about them--but here I want to know more about the world. And that seems to me a very big achievement!Way cool!!
Thanks folks! I've been coming to the realization that I enjoy world building, whether doing it myself or in my own cultural consumption. Probably why I'm such a big fan of Dune.
