Bernie Wrightson has had small strokes

Bad news. I feel very connected to Bernie Wrightson.
Hope he gets better and that his abilities aren't altered.

Yeah, I heard about this, too. Wrightson's wife says that he had some "some small strokes" and that they rushed him to the hospital right away. She made it sound like all things considered he is doing well.

The main ones to worry about are the ones that zero in on your optic brain parts. Making you effectively blind because things no longer register up properly.
I'll probably have one of those in 10 years or less. Enjoy that health while you have it.
I enjoy mine every day. It's why I've tried to stay in shape. Only 20 or so pounds overweight.

I added another of Wrightson's Frankenstein pictures to your post Ellis. So many years ago when I saw this drawing of Frankenstein's laboratory with all the unbelievable detail, and all rendered with tiny brush strokes I couldn't believe my eyes. What kind of preparatory work must he have done before rendering the final piece?

Marty sent me a great book of Wrightson. Time to pore over that again. I lost the Frankenstein book to the move.
Love the aged paper of your scan , Tom.

Actually that's not a scan of mine. It's off of Wrightson's own website. I think he was selling prints that look like that, with the aged paper look.
