Inktober 16...and Beyond!

I'll use this thread to do the next week of Inktober.
Slight edits make a big diff.
As Marty suggested. Done in about a minute with a mouse.
Cherubs for the An Acrostic Poem. Inktober 17
Inktober 18- Almost 2 weeks left. Quite a discipline.

Go to Tumblr to see the quick lay in pencils. It went south from the lay in which was strong, angular, good big shapes.
Inktober 21. I'll start a new thread for Inktober 22 since it's Tuesday as well.

love it. Removing the arm improves it, but I really liked the "stay away, lion!" sentiment of the first one, too.

I get tingles seeing all this lion-work....

...tho' I wonder if his head direction doesn't read a little like he's looking at the sky...? I see you modified it a little between the two, but I wonder if the last little thing this drawing is missing is that visual lock between the two creatures?

Nice drama anyhow!

You're right. But you're supposed to be impressed this is an all ink, no preliminary drawing. But you would be the wrong guy to try and impress with that talent.. The head would be 100 percent better looking directly at the target. I may try and do my Edgar Allan Poe strip as Inktobers. That way it will get done. Has the advantage of the preliminary composition, idea work, done.

Oh my gosh I love yr cherubs!! Those are great!

I didn't mean for you to revise yr drawing based on my advice...but do you like the head direction better? I think it improves the drama a wee bit, but then that's me....

Oh yeah it's much improved. There are no rules to Inktober other than it be in ink. But I self imposed the rule that as much as possible it come straight of the brush onto the page. Connect a fist to what the rest of the pose will be. The extra background werelion was an afterthought and klunked as an integrated element.

The edits were cool to do and may guide me to a working style I like. Make a spontaneous, fun(hopefully) drawing. Then revise and improve as needed.

Love the last one...did his mecha-deer lose its head??

The massive centipede is great, too. Well, they're all great. Is that teleported demon experiencing anti-grav on his medallion? Or did you just scan it upside down?

Love it all!! But yeah--start a new thread. Give each image its own impact.

Marty. That anti gravity thing is in anime all the time.

That mecha deer is the "big Dog" which I guess you've never seen. I think I've got the big shapes right.

Should have looked up reference. That was the whole "gag." Missed it on several important overall shapes
