Inktober 28 and 29. I'll add 30 and 31 to this thread.

Inktober 30! Just One Left!

Squeaking out of Inktober with a Dud. Inktober 31. Blech.

I had some ass calling himself Gessipe call me on my cell phone to ask me if I was the author of some concert art being offered on Ebay.

Who do we know that first name that would pop into their head if you asked for their name would be Gessipe?

Anyway, they wanted to know if I had sold concept art on Ebay. I said I've sold just about ALL my art on Ebay. Then I said have a good time Gissipe and hung up.

Concept art not concert art. The main irritation is the effrontery that an Ebay auction hound would think he was entitled to detective work to track artists phone numbers down. Very annoying.

I hope it was someone I hate.

It was an Illinois area code. Probably a lonely identity thief.

I would like to find some "concert art" from Ellis Goodson ... probably Gary Wright, Dreamweaver Tour, circa 1976. The wearable Moog synthesizer. Aah, those were the daze.

Wow. 76 music. Some of the worst music I can remember. Billy Don't Be A Hero bad. You would hope there was a landfill somewhere with every published note from that era buried in it. Instead I'm listening to it piped into Home Depot.

How's things Tom C? Still at Home Depot yourself?

These are wonderful Ellis, especially the giant cat one!

I need some new brush pens. Mine are ratted out. Great for tone but not line.

Thanks Tom. The Cat scene is from my memory of the story finale.

El! Love it!

Y'know what's really fun? Go into the "shadowbox" viewer and arrow forward thru yr images--you see the cat monster vs. witch develop, then...WHAM! Robot bashed by homunculus!

Yes, you need some new brushes! Yr inks are coming across as charcoal stick.

Love the images--really fun. Can't wait to see the big finish.

Sorry to hear HD isn't so great. No chance they're playing Halloween music all day? Guess that would drive you crazy eventually, too....

...and I second yr big howdy to Tom Carroll. Tom C., I talked to Johnny B. Gerrardy and Emily at Comics Fest--hoping for more Gun-Nose!! Hope all is OK--is yr candy game coming along??

...and that story about being tracked down by an Ebay user is kinda unsettling...but maybe they're just a big fan?

(I'm being serious. I don't think an ID thief would have the courtesy to make a call and dbl check about yr art career!)

Probably right Marty. It was probably a Saudi Prince looking for the perfect way to unload a few million in art patronage and I blew him off.

Thanks for the comments on the art. Got two new brush pens (brown-didn't have black) at the local community college. Probably have what i need at Hobby Lobby.

Home Depot was hellish today. The music wasn't bad. Just the miscellaneous hopping and skipping from one hopelessly futile notion of DIY plumbing repair to the next.

All of these are splendid. I know a guy who's collecting Frankenstein art... I should direct him your way.

MrGoodson2 said...

Rick, do you suppose Gissepe might be the guy that was talking about Vectorman with you?

Ha! Love the Frankenstein finale!

(The phrase "Hellish D.I.Y. plumbing" paints a most unpleasant picture....)
