""sizeable" number of workers at SOE's San Diego headquarters."

How many Blue Sky guys are still there that everyone knows?
Joe Shoopak, Tom Moon. Who else?

Dok's gone. Did you get some inside word on that Dok?

Rich Sjoberg,Rick Randolph, Jeff Jonas, Rosie and some other folks who aren't Blueskiers but are friends I worked with.

Of course Ronnie is at the Seattle office, and one or two of the folks who show up at TAG North work there, too.

Thanks Rick. I think that about covers it for me with people I know.

The online stories are true. We lost 207 employees, about a third of our work force. I am still employed. I probably shouldn't comment publicly on anybody else's status.

Good deal Tom. Glad you are still going. I hope everyone else makes it.
Joe , Rick and Rosie are all popular management types. They should make it. I don't know where Rich Sjoberg or Jeff Jonas are on the "value to company" graph. Tough times.

Tough times indeed. I've heard a few names, but it doesn't feel right posting them.

I just got off the phone with Ronnie... he's in great spirits. He's taking it very well.

Hang in there Ronnie. You're in a great spot for your type of job.

It's been a big, eventful day, but I am feeling positive about life and I'm excited to see what is waiting for me down the road. I hope everyone affected, including me, finds something very soon. Thanks to everyone for the kind thoughts and well-wishes.

Ronnie, that's great that you're keeping your chin up. These moments are gut-wrenching, even from the sidelines. I'm really hoping for the best for everyone affected by this, esp'ly our dear TAG brethren. But it's awfully tough news.

Sorry to hear about this. I'm on the look out for any openings up in the Bay Area that people may be interested in. The Bay Area is a little tough because there have been some project cancellations and company closures, so there's a large pool of experienced people up for grabs. Animators and engineers still seem to be in high demand though.
