Page 13

Here's page 13 of the book. I think I'm pretty happy with this page.  Hopefully I'm hitting my stride.

Terrific! Can hardly wait to read the whole thing!

Great. I would agree that a stride has been hit. A top notch looking page.

I need to get back to it. I've been writing. But really digging the writing. I'll have to see that through first.

Doodle in Manga Studio Sat Morning. But I'm still writing. Digging it. Next stop, Final Draft

Didn't feel like the doodle was worth it's own , space taking post. I'll try to become more of a time management guy and do the writing and comics.

A good clear read can never be a bad thing. But it might give some oomph and extra stamp of creativity if this service produced a good product. I may take the arrows and check it out.
But don't wait on me if anyone else thinks it's a good idea.

Create a Schmitz font
I'm not done with font creating. Not really happy with this one. I did it with the quill brusg in manga studio and it was very hard to control. Hit un-do a LOT.
Going to do one where I do it on a print out and hand letter with regular pens.
What do you think?
Better than comic book sans?

It's very quick. While you wait quick.

Yeah, I've tinkered with that in the past, but I didn't care for the kerning I got. Perhaps I should give it another go. I like the font I'm using well enough, but a hand lettering looking font would probably be better.

Yes, the Kerning was pretty bad on the I. I think I'll do another one today. Free.

Ricky, this looks so great! I think the Manga Studio format/brushes works really well with your natural style--looks clean, yet still hand-made...and very uniform in finish. Allows yr eye to travel over the page very easily, but never looks sparse or underdeveloped (or like the program is "auto-filling" big swathes of the page).

Super-cool!

Well, some of the earlier pages look a bit underdeveloped... I may need to go back in and play with them. I'm considering doing a tone pass as well.
