Mostly sketches. Occasionally a painting. Nothing political other than caricatures reinforcing the truism "Politics is Show Business for Ugly People".
Looking forward to where this goes.
I may be the only one who thinks this, but I believe "hooker" should take the place of "prostitute." It's quicker, harder hitting, more direct. Prostitute is weightier, more erudite, and also more ponderous. JMHO ...
Hmmm ... also, "girlfriend" and "hooker" have the same number of syllables, which is nice since in our "ear" they're speaking over one another.
I think he needs his axle greased, his heads polished, his shaft cranked, his piston stroked, his plug sparked and a good lube job.
...and the fairy girl needs her cork popped.
Toms! You are both so vulgar!Seriously, though, I think part of the humor here is that the word Prostitute in this case is more clinical and analytical... it suggests a diagnosis of a dispassionate observer.
How about if Gloot didn't complete the word at all?Cork: Poor thing. It's obvious what he needs.Gloot: Yeah...Gloot: (cont.) He need a prosti...Cork: (talking over Gloot) He needs a girlfriend.(Cork scowls at Gloot.)Gloot: Yeah, me guess that could work too.
Where's Scott? He needs to put in a appearance and tell us not to re-write his stuff.
Hello me hearties! Thanks for chiming in with all your thoughts! On this particular one I have to side with Rick (and I guess myself). To say 'prostitute' sounds a bit more clinical and humorous coming from this seemingly innocent little blob creature. To say 'hooker' is a bit more slangy and might be more typically expected from this monster's mouth. At least that was my impression. While I appreciate syllable flow Tom C., I think I'm gonna stick to what I wrote. Rick, you win sponge cake, Tom C... nothing, absolutely nothing. Kudos goes to Tom M. for his different take on it, but ultimately all he gets is a ketchup packet.By the way, I just finished number 49 so tomorrow I'll be posting that. It's a Christmas miracle!
Oh boy. This will be good. Or not. I'll be sure to tell you. Here's me being funny. Or not.http://tinyurl.com/23ujcto
