Cork 5

I finished Cork 5 over the weekend. Now I need to focus on finishing my graphic novel, dammit. Eight pages. Make me do it so I can get back to drawing hamsters and bosoms.

A buddy named Vlad, monsters, mercedes.

Those should be great motivations to finish the 8 pages.

This is really great Scott. Good feel out of characters. Do about 20 of these and you may have a syndicate deal.

If that's worth anything nowdays in the era of dying newspapers.

Scott Kurtz makes a living doing web comics... bypasses the syndicates all together.

I agree with Ellis... it's funny, cute, hip and it has great drawings. All the things that most webcomics (with the exception of the PVP, which Scott K. draws) lack.

I'm at the dentist, waiting for pain.

Web comics, having traffic that pays you for advertising on your site. What a dream way to make a living. We should all be doing it.

I recently returned from vacation and haven't had a chance to comment on "Cork". Briefly, I think it's terrific, and I hope you keep on with it Scott.

Scott! The stuff looks really good. Good? It looks great! I too have been absent from the mighty TAG blog of late. Seeing a serial strip here from the deft hand of Benefield is incredibly cool. I want to take some time to read 'em all closely and then make some cranky complaints.

Well done, man--well done! Cork me!

My only comment (for now) has to do with dialog and speechification ... So far we have a fairy and a hamster and they each have sort of the same speech patterns. Since this is a world that will open up as you build it, Scott, my hope is that we'll encounter people and/or creatures that speak with different accents or intonations. ;-)

Hi Scott and everyone.

I just finished reading "Cork". It's very interesting. By the way, what is the name of the hamster?

Hamster's name is Dick Gear

Huh? I hate when Ellis drunk blogs. I have no name for the hamster yet, although I'm considering Sam because when I was really young I had about 5 hamsters and for some inexplicable reason I named them all Sam.

Sam sounds like a good name for him. I'm not very fond of hamsters (as some of you know) but you've made him kind of cute.
