Tuesday Sick Drawing!

Hey I missed the Tuesday drawing!! I was out with Streptococcus. Fun eh? So here's the sketch. It's a drawing of one of our directors from a story meeting.

The Harryhausen Creature List

Hey check out this cool list where you can reference all of Ray Harryhausens's creatures in one place!! Just click on the button to the right to view them alphabetically by creature or by film. Then click on the name of the creature to see a mini quicktime movie of the beast. Neato!

Robots and Orbicular Muscles

I saw this guy with carzy protuberant lips, especially the middle area under the filtrum. I doodled that memory up, almost turning it into a carp feature.

Tuesday Ent

I don't know why an Ent occurred to me... it just did.

Childhood Memory of Colors

Early Tuesday Drawing - I think the TAG web site gets lonely on the weekend when nobody posts. So I was feeling sorry for it and started working on this in hopes of making it feel less neglected, but I didn't finish it until now.

Maybe the last random doodling

I think I'll start to do some sort of episodic thing. Get a little more focused.

Soliciting Opinions

Hey Fellow Taggers,

I was talking about the TAG web site to my portraiture teacher at the Athenaeum, Ken Goldman (he asked after you Marty). I told him it was where a bunch of us artists got together and talked about movies, toys, artwork and the like. He sent me the web site of this artist, Dan Thompson, and asked me to pass it on. As Ken put it, he "... Would be interested in the response from your world."

So please opine away. Ken has the address to the site so I guess he will be able to read your comments, (right? he just can't post?)

My Tuesday addition

Just yer average demon...

Tuesday Duty accomplished via Pinhead Bellboy

I haven't got a home studio set up yet. I have to content myself with my random doodling ability. Which is what I always did anyway.

Early Tuesday Drawing

Well, I don't know quite what to say about this image, except that it was great fun making it... and... ummm... in spite of appearances, it all makes sense to me, heh heh.

Werewolves, Goons, Saints and other Feisty fellows

This reminds me of the farmer in North by Northwest who has his truck stolen by Cary Grant after the crop dusting scene

I just sold this group of characters as a TV series. Tori Spelling will voice Saint Goono.

Glendale Lego Store

I have three models in the Glendale Legostore right now. Here's a pic.

Go here to see a few more piccys. They'll be there until February. Unless nobody changes them. Then I will be forced to make a heart shield to go with the Valentines Day theme.

Here's more...

Mixed with a little Andy Rooney maybe.

Back to Art School

Well, I'm taking Ken Goldman's portraiture and head study class on Monday nights. Last night was my first class. SOE is graciously paying for it so I'm going to take advantage of this benefit from now on. Taking a class is the only way to actually insure that I will set aside the three hours once a week and practice!

The streakiness of the paper was a result of flaws in the scanning process, but I thought it looked like I laid down a watercolor wash as a background and I kind of liked it. I started out drawing in blue pencil as an undersketch, but that soft blue pencil felt so good, I couldn't stop using it.

There's somewhat of a resemblance between the drawing and the model, but I've never had the knack for nailing likenesses precisely. Hopefully none of you will ever see her side by side with the drawing.

I wish I could caricature like Mort Drucker.

Ellis NEEDS This!!

OMG!!

New Year New Tuesday Drawring

I just want to get the New Year off with a new sketch. Actually this sketch is from last year off of a piece of blotter paper I used when I was painting. Playing with shapes and being loose. I was hoping that we could get the ol' Tuesday sketch/drawing/whatever going again. I know life is busy so do what you can do.

Also, thanks again for contributing to the blog. It's really is inspiring and fun to see what you guys put up. Kinda like the TAG day of old! Okay, who's ready for a group hug???

Question to the Crew...

Should we switch over to the new Blogger??? They say that nothing will change if we do. What say you?
