That spiral staircase was mesmerizing! I wanted to see more!! Love that pan to follow the coin thru the sky all the way to hitting the ground. Great shot! And I see you dropping frames on yr attack--really fits with the old Sci-Fi music!!
That said, I have no idea what the hell was going on in that thing.
But fun!

GraphAids has moved--but only across the street. Amazing that they found another sweet warehouse-y set up--this time next to that BarB-Q place. The area is gentrifying (now the we left ;)
When I watched Coin Toss I immediately had to start sketching you, trying to capture your "sentient simian" posing. Because you really DO look like a Mignola model--barrel-chested and belligerent. Been meaning to ink these since I watched it two weeks ago....the Mignola connect is what did it. Love to do a better version of this--I believe the movie poster warrants a full-on "Hellboy" style cover treatment. call Dave Stewart for the colors!!
The 2nd one is just as awesome. You have a special space in your head for complexity made simple. Drawing a spiral staircase like it's as simple as drawing a doughnut is a scary talent at work.

Beautiful drawings Marty, and such a funny characterization of Ellis! But if I may say, your technique brings to mind Al Williamson for me rather than Mike Mignola.
That coin arcing down to the ground is two different shots cut together. Nifty what you can get away with.. I put the best against the sky shot together with the best landing. At the camera resolution and level of blur of action, pretty much seamless.
