Home Depot Apron On A Real Person ...

A request was made to see a Tom Carroll apron on a real Home Depot associate, so here goes. Laura is the Department Head of my store's flooring dept. She graciously allowed me to photograph her in her Wonder Woman themed apron. You can see that I dropped out a couple of typographical layers on the design I included on an earlier post: my bad. Laura's next request: Captain America and Wonder Woman sharing the apron space ... should have time to design that one sometime this week.

Meant to comment on your earlier posts, Tom! Those aprons are too awesome! I'm sure they are a huge hit with everyone there! And the customers have to love them too! Great job!

Thanks Tom. They look even better now that I see them on someone!

Nice Tom. I used a sharpie on mine. Not nearly as good.

I'd rather plunge someone's toilet instead of sell them parts for it
San Diego Home Depot is probably paradise compared to Moore , Ok Home Depot.
But honestly, I doubt if it is any more LGBT friendly. In case anyone has any cliched vision of what an Okie Home Depot is like.

One incident. Guy I worked under had me wait on one customer to observe and react to him. He was some old William Bendix character that now dressed as a woman, skirt- blonde Doris Day wig, ugly as William Demerest and Bendix combined.
The Boss used to work with him when he was normal at Tinker AFB.

I could care less. I mainly cared about the guys that would do package opening with their own 10 inch switch blades. F those guys.

Dress like Rocky the flying squirrel. Who cares. I can't wear a cabbie hat without feeling self conscious.

That's more or less how I pictured it would look... terrific!

William Bendix + William Demerest = William Frawley.
Starbucks has the same apron uniform, though I don't think they can Sharpee it. Maybe room to expand the idea.

I dig your math Montag

What began as a great illustration of Tom's art in action grows to encompass stories of Ellis helping cross-dressers with their plumbing...

Now THAT captures the genius of the T.A.G. Blog beautifully!!

"Helping cross-dressers with their plumbing"

Umm...

I believe it was a faucet I was helping him/her with. Had to go up the big orange ladder. One of the typically most scattered and package opened areas of the store.

If I had Tom make me an apron it would say, "Quit opening boxes morons!"

Then they'd promote me. To a customer.

I liked all the comments here! And I now feel even more sorry for Ellis having to work at HD in (Roger) Moore, OK.
