Comic Con - Local Cartoonist Paul Horn

I thought it was kind of cool that this local cartoonist made the front page of the business section this morning, and that he talks about his Con experience as a vendor, including his marketing strategy and the money he makes from it.  He also includes a couple of other vendors' stories.  He must be thrilled to have the publicity.  It made me check out his web site and his strip.

Thanks Tom. Good Small Press details. California taxes getting their grubby paws into people trying to get some lift under their indy wings.

Some of you will be there tomorrow. Wow.
Hard to believe I managed to go last year. Good old Bob Wallace.

Now, who is Bob Wallace? Did he get you in last year?

In honor of Comic Con I'm re-watching "The Avengers" on Netflix. It's actually better the second time around.

I worked with Bob for about 3 years -Heavy Iron. He's in Austin now.
He called me Friday- I was in the Con on Saturday.

One of you guys could send me plane tickets and a badge and I could do it again.

The Avengers is well paced with nice bits for every character to play out.

TOMMOON!

I read this whole thing thinking it came from Ellis, and was the work of an OK comic creator...how misguided.

What a great story! So filled with good info.

Ellis, dang man, wish you were coming out here. Ranjo is nominated for an Eisner! In his beneficence, he's extended an invite to some of his TAG brethren to attend the award ceremony (in other words, be his posse). I'm planning on joining him. Won't feel right without you there!

And gawd bless Bob Wallace.

Very cool. The Eisner is for where is Dead Zero I assume. Well deserved. I just sold my copy on Ebay. Literally mailed it this morning.
