TonesDay

Manga Studio, You magnificent bastard, I read your book!

I did all the panel work on 15 pages in about.... 2 hours. I'll dig up my script and drop in balloons tomorrow. Then the FUN part. Just the inking. I do love this program. Quite the re-birth occurring for my enthusiasm for doing comics.

I liked this one because Jack found these extra planes for placing his figures.

When you put your hand in some Goooo, that used to be your zipatone drawer, I think you'll know what to do.

This looks great!!

Are we soon to be graced by a new Goodson saga???

At least half of one. I'm digging Manga Studio. I feel like I'm cheating on Adobe. But I have to think of my needs too.

Ha! That's healthy!

I'm guessing "K" because everyone knows shades = cool, therefore goggles = dbl cool.

OOF--this comment was meant for Rick's post!!

MrGoodson2 said...

I guessed K too.

Well, those covers did what they are supposed to do... I want to read all of those comic books!

Tom Moon said...

That's a heck of a lot of covers!

The Tumblr guy means to publish EVERY Kirby cover on that Tumblr. Power to him. Hope Marvel doesn't thwart him. I'm doing a lot of high rez saving.

Interesting that the Rawhide Kid's togs look very similar to the late 70s-early-80's Ghost Rider's riding leathers. I'm sure that's no coincidence.

Tom Moon said...

Not to mention it's resemblance to Thor's outfit.

Kirby had a thing for large circular 'buttons' on costumes, didn't he? Certainly those discs created great contrast and were visually interesting without being too noisy. Very graphic and unique... part of his imprint and definition of the medium, I guess.

Gods and cowboys dress alike. Hey, there's a title for a movie: "Gods and Cowboys".

MrGoodson2 said...

Cowboy shoots himself an Angel.

Takes it back to town.
Calls hisself Mercury.

The sun's going to be up for awhile in Shadetree.

There's some toga wearing hombres that look like they mean business at the edge of town.

Davis Chino said...

Ha! "Gods and Cowboys!" Love the setup...can totally see Kirby drawing this, too.

I loved the rawhide kid. Tho' I don't have any. I remember him and Hawkeye meeting at some point when Hawkeye was working on a dude ranch while on leave from the Avengers...?

Jimmy, Tom Moon, help me here.

Tom Moon: how many issues of "The Rawhide Kid" do you have???

'Cuz I wanna borrow them all.

Davis Chino said...

and El! You got a whole story sketched out!

MrGoodson2 said...

I've got a quick Stan Lee scenario sketched out. Now it's Kirby's turn. I used to buy Rawhide Kids. And The Two Gun Kid. That's Kirby growing up on the serials directly translated to paper.

Tom Moon said...

I don't know if I actually have any Rawhide Kid comics!

MrGoodson2 said...

Kid Colt, Rawhide Kid, Outlaw Kid, Two-Gun Kid, Ringo Kid. I think that's all of them.
Bunch of hot tempered punks.

Tom Moon said...

Awwwww, they're just kids. Don't let 'em get your goat.
