Check it out! It's the Prancing Pony! I made that sign!

Actually, I've been updating my website and there are a number of new images there of things I worked on to a greater or lesser extent... check it out!

I happened to go to your site yesterday and looked through all the new pictures you put up. The game REALLY looks good! Very impressive job. Give all the artists my congratulations.

Hey Rick,

Is this the LOTR massive multiplayer game that in beta or is being tested right now? If it is I have two friends who have been game testing for you for the last few months. One's in Missouri and the other's in San Diego.

Great sign too. I'd rather have seen a monkey though.

Yes it is... How do they like the game?

Sorry, no monkeys in Middle Earth... I suppose it could have been named the Prancing Elf...

Yeah, they both like it alot. My friend Steve in San Diego was just made one of the guild leaders in a group that keeps all the younger, more selfish players out. I think their guild is like 200 strong or something. He's having a gay old time. Can you delete his character just for kicks? Or could you have a Balrog with my head on it eat him? It would be most appreciated.

By the way, can your work be seen in the test version? I want to point out your art to them.

Well, if you take a look at my website you can see a bunch of stuff. There's all sorts of stuff that I've done concepts for, polish work on, or overhauled geometry and textures on. We've gone over some much stuff over and over again on the game that there is very little that anyone on the team can point at and say "I did that all by myself".

I always use your face a model for demonic giants, so the Balrog already has a striking resemblance to you...

It is hard to claim ownership on video game art by the time it gets all the way through a typical pipeline. This place looks nice and solid. Do you trigger entry to it or is it just eye candy background. Nice work. i notice on your web site it sounds like you're really conversant with the out sourcing. I'd bring that up should you ever approach another game company. Heavy-Iron/THQ is huge on the idea of out sourcing. Saw your Blog too. Really enjoyed the Herculoids appreciation.
