I am enjoying Netflix's Daredevil, though I wish it were a tad less graphically violent. The explanation of the whole "radar sense" thing was pretty cool. His brain interprets all the hypersense data using the visual cortex, so he does get an image in his mind.

The opening credits have "Created by Stan Lee and Bill Everett."

I can't wait for the Stiltman episode.

Also, here is a self-promotional piece of a friend of mine, Paul Turnbaugh. He and I went to art school together and lifted weights together.  His favorite super-hero was the Hulk.  Paul was (is) monstrously, preternaturally, STRONG, one of those guys who could leg press a thousand pounds. And his artwork is beautiful.  He does a lot of nature paintings - Robert Bateman-esque.  Check out his work at his "Wild Heartland" Facebook page

I was looking through the Archies at the Vons checkout and found this odd story. An interesting thing is I found this same story in an Archie in New Jersey in 1988. I am sure I have it in a box somewhere. Archies are just a collection of random reprints of 50 years of stuff. Where was Gene Colan in his life that he needed to do this assignment?

This is what Ive been doing

These have been set up as Stickers and Stencils. I can't access the app but these are on there somewhere. But needing some feedback........the BW stencils were easy but the Color ones kicked my ass putting them together. Had to do 15 expressions each. And with all the home crap in the way, it just wore me down getting them done.

New World Comic Con - April 18th - 2015

Comic Book, Game Concept and Storyboard artist Ellis Goodson will have his books RETRO ELLIS and IDLE HANDS available for sale.

Also selling 11 by 18 prints on card stock of The Goon, Hulk vs Batman and The Bog Monster. All in my fun(?) Goodson pencil style.

 The original art from THE BOUNTY OF ZONE Z will be for sale as an unbreakable lot. Price negotiable.

Vintage original art from the 'Tub.' A tub of 11 by 17 art I've hauled around for 30 years. Sold a lot of it at auction. Everything not already sold on ebay is still in the Tub. Some of it laughably bad. Just don't laugh too hard. I'm sitting right there.

Art ranges from 30 years old doodles to role playing game illustration as recent as the past month.

I will also be accepting commissions. The more complicated commissions will be done via the mail after the Con. Many quick sketch commissions (10 to 15 minute variety) can be done at the Convention.

I also generate a number of sketches on index cards that I sell while staying busy and loose. Feel free to browse my WTH index card doodles. Fun and affordable as original pieces of art.

I'VE HAD ENOUGH!!!!

I can't DEAL with this living situation ANYMORE!!!! It's WASTING too much of my TIME and my life.I'm SICK OF ALL THIS. I SHOULD stayed in San Diego and HAVE NEVER COME HERE. Worse part is I CAN'T LEAVE....I'm STUCK here! This is how it ends!!!! ARRRRGGGGGGHHHHH!

Had a lot of cars damaged by hail last week.

Little circles in yellow washable pen ink all over the car bodies. In some cases cracked mirrors and windshields.

So I did a drawing with no caption.

Decided 'screw funny' and blew off trying for a caption- and made it a process tutorial.

By locking transparency on the line art level.

Making the line art the only thing that will take color.

Painting the line art with a color appropriate to the generalized color direction the painting is headed.
