The path

Downsizers and movers,

If you owned a letraset catalog from 1989 and a book on paste-up and mechanicals from 1982 would you dump them or keep them as a bit of personal archaeology?

I kept stuff like that. Maybe you'll want to scan something some day.

I'm afraid of becoming Abraham Simpson, "In my day we used waxers and ruby lithe not those newfangled computation boxes the kids use today."

I don't have any thing like that now. The move back to Oklahoma was a book shedding holocaust. Which shapes how I view books any more. I'm all about lenders from the library now. I've had people meaning well give me big hard cover books, which I dutifully went through, but then gave to the library. That said, I probably still have 100 pounds of books. But it's can't-part-with-it stuff.

Can't part with it stuff and about 30 pounds of non essential material creep that I've carelessly added

One of my goals for 2016 is to get rid of the junk I no longer need and to reduce clutter, in general. I haven't lifted a finger towards that goal, unfortunately. Need to get on the stick with this as I think all kinds of good things come from shedding the unnecessary weight. Thanks for this post, it helped remind me I'm neglecting an important goal.
