110 lb cardstock- bought a ream

It feels like drawing on vellum. The blackwing pencil feels awesome on the surface.
I have to get serious and whip out some real illustrations on this great surface.
Straight out of the Kuratake brush.
Need to recharge my wash brush.
It's fighting me.
More of the same. Got to start on another EnWorld deal and thumbnails on 31 spot illustrations for a book.

Wow. Great stuff, Ellis. Love the analog chemistry that occurs with real paper and pencils.

Me too Ronnie. 20 bucks for 250 sheets of very nice paper. I bought flimsy stuff last time. This is the good stuff. With a great polish on one side great for erasing and drawing. 8 cents a sheet.

Always enjoy your sketches Ellis! I've always wanted to buy some Blackwing pencils as I hear so much about them, but I've just never gotten around to it. I've tried them out at demo booths and they feel really smooth. Maybe I'm just stuck in a rut and afraid to spend money trying something new.

I should gift you with a few.

What's the diff between the Blackwing and the Blackwing 602?

Same thing. I think the 602 is them saying- "we got it right."
