See Julie Brooke's Ceramics This Weekend ...

Julie is Tom Carroll's wife. She's a top ceramic artist (potter) and her work and the work of all the Potters' Guild members will be on display this weekend at Spanish Village (by the SD Zoo entrance and the big carousel). Sale runs 10am - 4pm, Nov. 13 & 14. I've used the sale's postcard as the visual. You can't imagine the kinds of ceramics that are there, functional and for display. It's an amazing thing.

Is she a great experimenter when it cones to the glazes.? I thought that was the coolest part of my forced credit in ceramics. That weird mud turning bright colors when fired in the kiln.

Good luck on sales. People that come to those shows come to buy. Not like a walk through the paintings art show.
People want something that's one of a kind looking. For a purpose usually done by something bought at Target. Vase, dinner plate, whatever.

It looks like it will be an interesting show. Sorry to miss it but won't be heading to San diego anytime soon.

I'll definitely check this out when I'm down at the Park Sunday morning. Thanks, Tom!

Awesome, Beata. I'll let Julie know to watch for you. If she isn't by her stand, she may be doing cashier duty. ;-)
