I've started back on WAIT. I had a great ending firm up in my head. One thing I'm glad I read- is what Stanley Kubrick said about The Shining. Explain nothing . Do the visual, the story, don't explain it, especially horror. Let the audience process what occurred their own way.
It's going to cut out quite a few word balloons in the story.

I came across this at Heritage Auctions, 

Artist's personal sketch book. Mixed media on paper. 10.5 x 8.25. It went for $3,750.

I see a lot of influence of WT Benda masks in these sketches. Awesome stuff. I would love to have seen more from this book.

New Wave Chicks

I don't like this contemporary style of drawing...and yet, it's how my drawings keep coming out. It's maddening! (Bodies come from photo reference--which is probably the problem--but heads are invented...I am trying to get better at fabric and feet....and girls.)

It's been awhile

Well it's been some time since I posted. Been working on a few odds and ends projects. Currently I was brought in on a tower defense kids game + E-Learning project combo. I didn't come up with the ideas for the game but did realize the characters final looks. I wanted to go boss badass on the looks but was pulled back on kind of cute look. If successful it may have follow on modules. Not a lot of $$$ but it's keeping my head above water, barely. Still waiting on another possible project in the summer, just waiting on the word for that. Yeah, I went to Wonder Con too.

First Page

Having a good time doing this. Biggest problem is the roughs I'm doing the line art from are way too rough. The next attempt will have a complete script and much better thumbnails. Inking it with each panel as a group.

Enhancement was cranking up of saturation and gamma. And cropping out slouching guy.
Blogger Dashboard is warning about a NEW LOOK in April. I hope I like it. Hopefully they try and usurp Tumblr with some extra extra goodies.
Seriously, just do the comic strip work. Don't screw around with wordpress. There's more tech-idiot ways to publish than any artist could want
