What I've been up to...

I've been doing a lot of sketching here and there.  More often than not I've been drawing "Creeple" (©2012 Rick Schmitz), as seen here.  I've hit upon a combination of brush pen and fountain pen (both disposable from Japan--LOVE THEM) that I'm pretty happy with.  I did a Donkey Kong drawing recently with a lot of inkwork that someone said looked "Wrightson-esque"... I felt fairly smug for the rest of the day.

Very nice thick and thin line art. Character designs are very cool.

Make stuff. That guides and makes things happen. Looking at this work I get a Neopet direction in my mind. Enough characters, you have a web place where kids come to play or learn.

Creeple is the best. I still remember the funny Doctor Ocular mini-comic you made. Someday the world will know about Creeple.
