Click on the title of this post to go to Zuda Comics. This is a website run by DC where comics compete for the chance at a year contract. Comics are submitted every month and the 10 best (as deemed by DC, I presume) are posted for the general public to vote on. The winner gets a year contract to continue working on the comic. It seems like a cool idea and something that TAG folks might be interested in participating in. I know that at least some of you have comics already made and perhaps ready to share (Tom M., Tom C., Ellis, Scott... I'm looking at you guys!).
I recommend that you read all of the rules in detail before sending anything in.

that looks like an interesting and maybe worthwhile goal for someone with web comic aspirations
I'll have to check again, but I think there is an issue of winning the contest, getting the gig, but possibly not retaining ownership of your property. Again, this is my impression from having looked into it a while ago. Same as for Platinum Studios; If I'd have won their Platinum Studios Comic Book Challenge, I would have continued the book for a year, but they would own the property. Happened to two creators in the past, well ... at least two. And they weren't happy with their creations being taken from them in the end.
Yeah, there is some ownership sharing with this deal. If you have some property that you can't part with then you might not want to do it, but if you consider ideas a dime a dozen, then this is a gig for you!
