I didn't do his feet. I was going to just digitally ink this but I'd better finish it some more
need a careful sketch. This is just letting the pencil go to see if I like the couple of ideas I'll pump into it. Hopefully I get a couple of other ideas as I sit down for the careful sketch.
I'm adding a trailer for Disney- Mars Needs Moms. Santa Claus vs the Martians? And they brought John Candy back to life in an Uncanny Valley kind of way.

This Mars Needs Moms opens this weekend! First I've ever heard of it. It must suck worse than the trailer makes it look.
Oh yeah, this is going to be awful. Thankfully my kids are at an age now where they see a trailer like that and they think it looks lame, too.
That 3d movie Legend of The Guardians (the Owls) is already on DVD and available from Netflix. That must have stunk
Yeah, didn't see that either. Tommy has read a couple of the books and enjoyed them, but I'm not sure that even he saw the movie.
Love Modok as Captain America... it's inspired! Or at the very least, timely.
Great Cap-odok, El.
I am sad about "Mars Needs Moms" because, based on the trailer, it does look awful.
I'm sad because
#1 Carlo's wife worked at Zmeckis's studio who did the film, and loved the place--great people, great work environ. Now all shut down.
#2 Missed opportunity to do...something good.
#3 Despite trailer, it might be OK (tho' have to say I'm doubtful); I remember everyone shredding his Xmas Carroll, and I thought that wasn't half-bad. Esp'ly compared to things people rave about.
I didn't realize the Zmeckis connection. That is too bad. They get a half way good review over at AintItCool. I look forward to all these movies when they are Netflix available.
I've heard the very same thing about the Zemickis studio... The films wern't that great but that it was a wonderful place to work. It's a shame that it never found a vision.
