Greetings from Emerald City Comic Con
Waded through the crowds at ECCC to find Rick and Marty drawing away and keeping their adoring public happy and entertained. ECCC gets bigger and crazier every year. It was a chore just negotiating the venue. I couldn't take too much of it. Having dinner with Marty, Rick, Tom, Patty, Sue and Blair at the Icon Grill was definitely the highlight of the weekend for my wife and for me. Here's to 2016.

It was the highlight for us, too! It was a great weekend, great to see old friends and generally an awesome time was had by all!
I like the banners behind the tables.
Cool presentation.
Glad the weekend went well. Need some more detail eventually.
Hope everyone made some good sales and good commissions.
Back to work.
Thanks for the photo Ronnie.
Brief report:
Marty and I had a great time. I did really well with my table... far and away my best con, money-wise. Probably made as much at this one as my other 2 ECCCs and Rose City combined. I did a ton of little index card drawings that I sold for $5 each... sold a bunch of those. Sold some prints, a couple of framed index cards, a few commissions, a few books. Rather than sitting and drawing, I stood and engaged with the crowd for the most part. I had a quick story to tell about the index cards ("one of a kind pieces of original art"), which helped. I had dinosaurs, what I call Victorian skulls and some Creeple drawings. The Dinos did best. Next time I'm going to add dragons to the mix, and maybe some other mythic creatures... as well as dinos and skulls.
Awesome Rick.
I just counted it up... I sold 46 index cards and 2 framed index cards for a total of $290.
You burned down the house with the originals! Great work.
Wire rack display. 2 more items and I'm ready for the 16th of April. And beyond that SoonerCon.
Already have a big hangoing banner.
Got that wire rack to display my lulu books. And remaining Bounty of Zone Z comics.
I just ordered another vinyl banner that I'll place on top of the table. Pictured earlier in the blog. The half size. Now I need a tablecloth and a folio for the original art from Bounty of Zone Z. Try to luck into a deep pocket fan that wants a complete indy comic book's originals.
That's a pretty good price for that rack. Nice work.
Marty! I just realized that I didn't get a copy of your comic! What a dope I am!
Hey, on our flight back home this afternoon we ended up sitting across from your old pal Sarah Wilkinson. She and another artist were on their way down to San Diego, then on to Anaheim for the WonderCon.
Rick! I'll get you a comic in the mail!
Tommy--too funny about Sarah. Great seeing you guys up there.
...and hey! Tom, you don't have a copy of FUME either, do you?
*gulp* (maybe he doesn't want one!)
I have the old one from last year but not the one with the new cover. Yes, I need to remedy that!
