Thought I'd sneak in a little post. This is from my college days. I did a poster satirizing the two candidates for class president at (then) Claremont Men's College: Mario Mainero and the rival, whose name I think was Marquardt. The college President was Jack Stark. Turned out nicely ... IMHO. Lots of stippling using my set of Rapidograph pens, mostly while listening to Led Zeppelin, Alan Parson's Project, Emerson, Lake & Palmer and such.

Wow, that's really something Tom. Gorgeous stippling. Must have taken forever. Hope you will be showing up and posting more here. What's new?
Thanks for sharing this! I didn't think I could love you more, but the ELP mention just makes you even more awesome! Your family needs to come up for a visit! Soon!
Oh, and the drawing rocks!
Funny Optical Illusion: The face on the left, when viewing the thumbnail, looks like the head of a white-bearded, turbaned ayatollah. Only after I enlarge the picture can I see what it really is.
Tom C.!!
This should be sent to the Stipple Museum--a truly exhibition-worthy example of the art-form!
I thought the guy on the right might've been a "college-dazed" Dana Christianson....
ELP...oh, my! I remember listening to (again) Dana wax eloquent on their merits (hey, I recently made Blair listen to the my vinyl copy of "ELP: The Works"...only thing that impressed her was me singing along with "C'est La Vie").
...and it was originally my parent's album, I shld (cruelly) note.
Love stipple work.....don't see it much these days. Looks good Tom C. Makes me want to bring out some stuff I uncovered here at home from my 70's. Very Early JMG. Oh My!
Let's see it, Jim!
Sweet. I like the lost line of the lightning bolt. Everything is blended up and belongs on the surfaces. Hard to do with line. Especially all those hard to do metal and straight edges.
