I knew I would find it someday.
I was probably about 10 when I saw it at the Knob Hill theatre.
It could show today since the Knob Hill district might as well be Tijuana.
I wouldn't have been certain it was my Puss N Boots movie if I hadn't unerringly clicked on the youtube timeline to the part I remembered.
PussNBoots tricking a Sorceror into changing himself into a mouse so he could eat him.
I don't remember him being a solid white cat. Thought he was more the Morris cat coloration like the modern incarnation.

It wouldn't suprize me if some elements of shared production occurred between this and Jack The Giant Killer.
Wow that's horrifying. But I understand the thrill of finding an obscure show from your childhood!
I lack only one childhood lost film. I've mentioned it before. Asian film. A sorcerer changes his boogers to flies.
I find that and I have a complete archive of film memories.
Being able to watch everything on youtube on the big TV is great. Via Roku3.
Let's see if your extensive knowledge of old movies can help me. As a kid in the late fifties or early sixties there was some old sword and sandals movie I saw, and all I remember is that there were two Greek-like armies. One side, the bad guys, dressed in red tunics and gold helmets. The good army wore blue tunics and silver helmets. At one point some of the red-and-gold soldiers dressed up in blue-and-silver and did something bad so that the blue-and-silver side would be blamed.
There was an inquiry and one investigator (good guy or bad, I don't know) asks a witness to tell the jury or panel, exactly what he saw, and the witness has to say, "I saw soldiers dressed in red and gold... blah blah blah."
Ring any bells?
Those Italians pumped them out in the day. There wasn't a featured superhero strongman, just armies? Couldn't be that Stephen Boyd movie that tells the story of the Spartan 300. When you say sword and sandal, other studios dabbled. It was mainly an Italian show though.
I'm on my brand new (to me) mac mini. Working well. The usual transfer headaches here and there. Lots of re-install of software.
I really want to get a little less promiscuous on RTs and reactions in general on social media. Even if I can be RTing again.
It will be good to re-install skype again. I miss that the most. I had that other macmini at least 10 years. Maybe 12. It was time for new.
Interesting... I wonder if that Puss and Boots was made by the same outfit as the Santa Claus movies (the one with the Devil and the one with Martians). Those are very odd movies indeed. MST3000 did something with the former and you can find it on Youtube.
I can't help you with the greek war movie, Tom. Something I vaguely remember from my childhood was what I think was an anime movie with a kid who rode on the back of a little flying lion. There was a volcano involved and my recollection is that the quality of the animation was quite good. I have no other memories of it. Anybody out there know what I'm talking about?
Jim will know the lion movie.
I've got Skype back!
Every file on the desktop of the old mac is now on the new mac.
The imac started alright.
I have no computer complaints today.
And I think you have something about the Santa Claus movies Rick. Somewhere assets are being shared.
I can't find any connection. I guess cheezy and cheap unites things from that era. It said Santa Claus conquers the Martians drew it's cast from Broadway performers.
I think there probably was a Hercules type hero now that you mention it Ellis.
K Gordon Murray would be the unification factor. I believe he was the guy making the money as distributor of most of the awful films designed for kids of that era.
Yes. Looked up Murray's wiki entry. He was responsible for the Santa films and Puss N Boots. Arriving in our country, edits made, dubbing done. Making that Spanish version on youtube more interesting as the unadulterated story. But making the one I saw more than likely a lost film.
