I know I should watch those old Fritz Lang classic movies, but I never have. It's hard to overcome the prejudice, they're so... old... so black and white... so silent... Guess I'm not a true movie buff. Your drawings, on the other hand, are really cool. I especially love that rainbow robot, or whatever it is.
Tom, all the Die Niebelungen is pretty much eye candy stage design and photographic composition.
Costume designs are also great.

Some great battle gear with a variety of armor concepts that look comfortable and move but still might turn a blade.
I think their chain mail was starched, big weave sack cloth. Probably painted to also stiffen it and give it some metal like appearance.
I have the movies on my Netflix queue and watch them whenever. Glance at them while I work
These photos are made with pointing my vado cam at the TV. So detail is missing. But you get the feeling of care going into these shots.
I had Finian's Rainbow on when I did that Robot!
I had it on because I noticed the credit for director was Francis Ford Coppola. Never knew he'd done a big stage translation movie that early in his career.
I watched a movie on Netflix Streaming last night called "Altman", a documentary on the life and films of Robert Altman. Really interesting, and inspiring! A guy ahead of his time who made it by sticking to what he believed in.
I just finished watching Altman last week. I was under then impression I had missed a lot of Altman's output. Hell, I had seen most almost all of them. Most recently saw the Short Cuts movie which had me further look into the writer that inspired the film. Raymond Carver. The mash up that they did in the movie of that source material is genius.
I did say Mash up.
I like all the people that had worked with him, volunteering what Altman is a synonym for.
Big take away. Be a guy that other epople love working with.
I've seen O C and Stiggs AND Quintet (the one blamed for a big downturn in Altman fortune.)
