200 percent. That page I linked to was interesting. I didn't know that Kirby had been forced into working smaller and hated it. Yet some of that art might be the ultra impact stuff where he is packing the panels.
Yeah, I believe these are the same size as the originals. I want to work this large--but how am I going to scan it??? I have a hard enuff time with anything over 9"x12"....
I remember Kirby's dislike of the page downsizing...he gets knocked for not having much "detail" in his work, but look closely at his stuff and it's amazing how much detail he gets in--and it's thoughtful, too, not just bric-a-brac.
Anyway found a Wally Wood artist edition (2nd printing). Pricey but not too bad considering the cost of the First edition print run now. lucky my sizable tax return came in today. Now I'm done with these BIG books. I get anymore and they will need their own room. This is unless something really cool comes down the pike.

A small child could sleep on it...or use it for a sled.
So was Davis working Twice size? That would tighten up even my inks. 11 by 17 is working 150 percent. And these are? Measure a page

Liked that link, Ellis. Jim and I saw some Jack Davis originals at WonderCon, and boy, they were BIG!
