It's a great series Deanne, but as with many of today's TV maxi-series, there are a lot of ongoing, intertwining story lines, and it's easier to follow if you can start from Season 1 Episode 1 and work your way from there. Here's the MadMen site: http://www.amctv.com/videos/mad-men/
AMC is doing some terrific stuff these days. They will be doing the new "Prisoner" series.
In addition, Patty and I are hooked on another one of their series called "Breaking Bad". It's about a mild-mannered, high school chemistry teacher who gets lung cancer. Wanting to insure that his family has enough money after he dies, he starts cooking crystal meth with one of his former students, now a drug dealer. As he gets pulled deeper and deeper into the drug underworld, his character starts to change. Really great stuff.
Yes on Breaking Bad. I checked out a DVD with a season's worth and read the synopsis and thought, GREAT IDEA. Real people cook crystal meth. We have cartoon pictures of the shiftless and maladjusted types in our minds. But they are people that want money, lots of it. And that could be anyone.

Hey, you stole my clothes. Give me my newspaper back.
Ellis, you've got to start watching too. For those of us who grew up during that era it's particulary fascinating.
I didn't notice I had copied you until I posted it. Pretty funny.
I chose those clothes because I didn't feel right in a suit. Probably you too. More relaxed and bohemian dressed this way.
That's pretty neat! I might try one.
Haven't seen anything about this show but will try to record it.

We recorded the episode on Sunday but haven't watched it yet. We will probably try to rent the 1st season from Netflix.
Not sure about "Breaking Bad". Dan's school starts tomorrow and things are not starting out well.
