Good on your for blasting these out. I bet they want them clean, but I wouldn't mind more of the scratchiness of the comp to live on in the final--or that malevolent head tilt!
Thanks Marty. Yes, I really need to continue to evolve on getting that rough energy to come across. Experiments for a week solid would probably give me a decent system.
Great job Ellis! Hey, my copy of Jason Brubaker's "Unnatural Talent" arrived a while ago. Been enjoying reading it. I thought of you Marty when he was pleading desperately with everybody not to use "Comic Sans"!
Okay, okay. I know you and he are right about that. I've just been lazy. He talks about creating his own font with these cheap programs, so I promise I'm going to give that a try in the near future. And when I do I will go back through all my comics and swap out the font. And I will never again use Comic Sans! :)
Tom, I git the audio book and the book. I listened to all the audio book while I was working the last weekend. It's a good way to go. Then you have the book to go back into for the specific things that you found useful. He has a long '50 useful things' section that you'd probably glance at and skim if you were reading. So, if you got an extra 19 bucks, I recommend the audio book.
