...Because it's Tuesday.
Lil' Okie Ellis looks about five years too old here. Think I'll have to re-do it.

Mostly sketches. Occasionally a painting. Nothing political other than caricatures reinforcing the truism "Politics is Show Business for Ugly People".

Ha ha!!!
Maybe a chubby 5-year-old Dennis Mitchell look!
I was just reading about Jay North the other day. The original Dennis The Menace. Looks a bit like him. Maybe it's the overalls. But a great drawing. I like the trees breaking the panel. Hands and feet always nicely done.
I always thought Jay North looked too old for the part. He was eight when the T.V. show started and eleven when it ended. But I guess they didn't have any boy actors with Shirley Temple looks and talent.
Any kid would only have the Ketchum proportions for about a day. Dennis was a low to the ground, dwarf Buddha.
It's really uncanny how Marty can channel your voice Ellis.
Ha! Are you being facetious, Moon?!?
It's all about character...and I take it no one objects to calling the dog "Lindegaard"? It just seemed right in this exchange (don't know how durable a choice it will prove...).
Thanks for the compliments! Glad you got a laugh. Older I get, the more I enjoy making people laugh.
I'll use west coast time zone and do a Tuesday drawing.
I made it with central time zone time. Not going to elaborate tonight. I want to do a gray tone painting tomorrow. We'll see how that goes.
Marty, the things that come out of your Ellis characters' mouths sound exactly like things Ellis would say, in meaning, cadence, and vocabulary.
Tom, that's great to hear! It's what I'm tryin' for!
...and Lindegaard is a perfect name.
You had me at "Lindegaard" ...
... and I agree with Tom, on all points.
The only thing that bothers me a bit about this otherwise FABULOUS drawing is Ellis's left hand; and only because his comment made me look more carefully.
Ha! Beata, you're wrong about that left hand--it's (apparently) his other right hand (!!).
Oof. Thanks for catching that!
I buy it as a left hand. You guys think the palm area going behind the barrel reads as a thumb?
I think it's the relative length of the fingers. The pinky seems to be the length of an index finger. But I wouldn't have noticed it if Beata hadn't said something, so I bought it too.
