Cork 60

Well, the website has finally caught up to my backlog of finished strips.  This strip here is being colored as we speak to get released today.  I've got one more that's pencilled that I'll try and finish before next Thursday then it looks like Cork's gonna go on hiatus for awhile.  Blame Ellis.  It's always because of Ellis.

Wow. Miyazaki levels of pathos and it was still funny. You went out big. For however long the hiatus lasts. Hopefully a long time if it means you're making money hand over fist doing something besides Cork. If more Cork means poverty is reasserting itself, that's not good.

Haha. Yeah, new Cork = baaaad. I actually have one more Cork to do by next week! It's a little stand alone one that I've had in my head for awhile. Then the black abyss of Boon nothingness until I create another buffer zone. It won't change much for you guys, I'll still post new ones here. You already wait forever for fresh ones.

Thanks for the compliments! Miyazaki's the guy who directed 'War of the Gargantuas' right?

Yes. The one where the evil brown Gargantua ate the little Japanese Pop Singer and spit out her bloody dress.

Do you remember the song she was singing? "The wooooords get stuck in my throat!"

Do you remember the sound the Gargantuas made? "CHAAAAAAA!"

Yes. I believe that is called the Miyazaki scream. A lot of foley artists re-use it as a shout out.

*Nerd rant begin*
(pushes glasses up on the bridge of his nose) It was the GREEN Gargantua who was the evil one who ate people. The brown one was gentle and kind. (snort)
*Nerd rant over*

It's on Netflix streaming. I will double check this morning.

The dumb nerd from Seattle is right, Ellis. Let's punch him.

He's right. And it wasn't a Japanese pop star that was eaten. The pop star was American or English ( you got the song right. Haunting.) The chewed up Japanese victim was a office girl at the airport. Next someone will say it wasn't Miyazaki.
