Ron's centaur reminded me of an drawing done of an Amazon back in a time when people were asking me for such things. The Amazons were a horse-worshipping, female, band of mercenaries who lived in the Caucasus, or so I was told.
Ron, the people I was working for were attempting to do an time-accurate Trojan war. Pre-classical Greek. The Amazons here were archers on horseback who picked off combatants on a fight's periphery. Wood and skin shield, bronze curasse, and leather chaps. I tried to think of small broadswords holstered in a way the rider can pull it out and slash upward in an underhand circular motion. The horse shape helmet was part of their horse- worship. The client liked the helmet idea.

Cool posing. I like the peanut silhouette of the shield. Good framing for the arm posture.
Nice drawing! It looks as if she is flying over a battlefield covered with her fallen foes.
nice job Ben, glad 2 see you posting
What was your approach to figuring out the costume and equipment?
I don't think I would like the job of "tail braider".
Nice work!
