Inked Version of Gun Nose
I met Johnny B. (Gerardy) at my son's school. We hit it off right away. He has inked for several comics ... I wrote 'em down in my sketch book last night, but that's downstairs and I'm upstairs. He's a terrific inker and a good artist on his own, too! I just thought I would share this inked version of my Gun Nose sketch with you fellow TAGgers. We'll have other work at our shared table in Artist's Alley at the Con (a first for me).

Wow! That insanely detailed! I look forward to seeing you in artist alley.... how did you manage to get a table there? I always thought you needed to be really good friends with a worker at the con or something...
My friend Frank Silas called me out of the blue because he got to know Clydene Nee at the debut party for 30 Days of Night (I couldn't go so I threw the passes his way). She had an opening and I told Frank to gobble it up. I then called Johnny B. (who had been lusting after a spot at the Con, but couldn't get in) and he already had his resale number and all. Johnny said I could piggy back on his resale number, so I submitted the forms to Clydene. I will likely slide in for Johnny B and/or Frank whenever they want to walk the show or need a break. But I'll be smiling the whole time. ;-)
Those are some awesome inks. Reminds me of the Brian Bolland sort of look.
It really puts a high luster on the pencils. It's T shirt ready now.
Fancy ass!
Thanks for the compliments to Gun Nose and Johnny B's inks. I'll pass 'em along!
Yeah, it's cool to see what the inks have done for this image. All those parallel lines can't help but give the viewer a "wow" feeling. Really nice.
(my only comment is the smoke doesn't read as clearly for me as everything else in the image)
Yah ... I concur about the smoke ... something to consider. ;-)
