... but with starting a new job and not having my computer with me in CA, it's been difficult to get any posts on TAG.
I'm in MA for the week to take care of a bunch of house-selling details and visiting with Sue and the kids, so I've had some access to my computer and I was able to finish up a project. What you see here is a panel from a comic "audition" that Tom and I have been working on for the Comic Challenge. Since these characters have already appeared on my website, I didn't think if would be a problem to show them here as well.

Beautiful piece!
Hey Rick. Hope the home selling is going smooth and you're making a ton of money. Hows the new job going? I dig this piece. You've always got very pleasing color. I want to hear more about the ideas of the strip.
I'll let Tom C. handle the details on the characters and situations.
The more I worked on this page the more I realized that I'm working in a totally integrated fashion... I had pencils that I scanned, but the inking and color are all part of the same process.
Sadly I don't think I'll be making buckets of money off of the house... the market is reeealy slow in MA and we have already come down on the price. Hopefully interest will pick up during summer.
Dok! Thanks for the kind words. It's great to see you posting here! Hows everything going with you and your splendid family?
BTW Dok... will we be seeing a new sketchbook from you at Comic Con this year?
When I have the page of text finished and approved by Rick, I'll post it for all to read ... So much work, so little time!
;-)
Yay! Looks good. Can't wait to see what you guys are working on.
Thanks for kind thoughts Rick!
The fam's just fine - Nick just came back from his 1st year at SFSU and he's grown in many ways.
Ann's still teaching critically handicapped preschoolers and the school is relying on her more and more, reports the proud husband.
Talked w/ the folks at Bud Plant and they're going to take another chance on me. The first sketchbook didn't do really well in sales, alas.
Hope to impose on all here to help me vet some images pretty soon.
Whoo hoo! Dok drawings! Bring 'em on!
Would you like me to check up on Nik from time to time when he returns in the Fall? ;)
