Stooges

NOT me, Ellis and Scott. The schnoz on Larry should have been redone--it's excessive, it distracts and it detracts from the other good parts, but hey, I am an imperfect artist. Speaking of which, Ellis, can you please post that "tower" you designed for our latest game project? I'm sure everyone would love to see it.

(I like how the grayscale setting made the image a little grainy and reminiscent of an actual Stooges film.)

Jeff, glad you're back. You've been missed.

It IS a masterpiece!

This talk of a "tower" that Ellis designed kind of worries me. Is the inspiration for the tower the same as the inspiration for Larry's nose?

It's apparently very penis like. It's a tower. How do you make a non phallic tower.

Ellis, normally I would agree with your gripe, but in this case I just have to say you shouldn't have added veins and circumcision if you didn't want to be pounced on by a buncha' Freudians.

Or is it Fruedians?

I like the grayscale effect on the drawing as well. This is a great set of caricatures. Curly may have a little too much Joe DeRita. There , I've said it. But Larry's nose doesn't bother me. You can't be pulled across the room with the nail pulling end of a crow bar and not expect a little nose deformation.

Scott, did you see my comment about you being the worlds biggest Fake Shemp fan? It was really funny.

Heh, Scott is either ignoring you or he's busy with his move to Carlsbad. Speaking of which, today is Rick Schmitz's first day on his new job. Wonder how he's doing. Hopefully he will find time to let us know his new e-mail address soon.

I'm particularly fond of how Curly's right eyeball compliments the openness of the left side of his mouth. Cross symmetry ... Stooges style!!

BTW, Ellis & Co., the non-pelile tower is all ... in the ... um, ... crenelation.

Agree or disagree?

I'm right here, guys! Back in CA and on the job!

So far, things are grand... I'm staying with my sister in San Jose and I'm working in San Mateo (on 1900 Norfolk St., Mr. Moon, does that tell you where I am?).

You can email me at rschmitz@centerscore.com.

If we get a house south of San Jose, I may just take Cal Train into the office and start work on the great Americian graphic novel on the ride to and from work... just as Doug has implored us.

Since I'm on the west coast again I have already registered for the con! If any of you are up for a trip to the bay area, lemme know and we'll get together! I'd even be happy to meet people halfway... say Santa Maria or SLO?

Hey, cool to hear from you Rick. Congrats for the big move. Hope it all turns out smooth. Definite advatage having a team working on the move, bringing it along in stages. When I move it has to be an all at once thing. I'm working on my graphic novel too. Script first.

Hi Rick,
Yes, I'm looking at your exact address on Google Earth. There you are at the crossroads of the 92 and the 101. You are only a couple of miles from where I used to live. I can see a blurry image of my old house and all the houses on my street. It's making me homesick.

Then you need to come up for a visit! You don't have any plans for Easter, do you?

Tom Moon said...

Heh, Easter is at our house this year, but definitely we will be visiting the Bay Area on a regular basis now that you guys are up there as well as my brother. I'll be excited to see your new workplace though.
