This is the set up in the Schulz museum (notice the railing in the foreground). Still, it's pretty cool to see. I believe the museum in on the same property as his studio and the ice skating rink that he built in Santa Rosa. Really nice little museum... Jeannie's pride and joy, I think.
I visited the Santa Rosa museum earlier this year and it was wonderful! I liked Schulz's Peanuts work before I visited the museum, but I absolutely love it now that I know more about the creator and have seen a lot of the work he put into it! I picked up an amazing book on Schulz's work by Chip Kidd (great graphic designer) which sits proudly next to my Family Circus anthology (Bill Keane being another artist who I've recently developed a lot of respect for).

ReplyDeleteI like Toms' brilliant idea for a fits-anywhere cartoon. It's all about the writing for gags. Tom Moon does good gags.

ReplyDelete...er gag! Well done!
Oh, this made my day!
