Manga Studio, You magnificent bastard, I read your book!

I did all the panel work on 15 pages in about.... 2 hours. I'll dig up my script and drop in balloons tomorrow. Then the FUN part. Just the inking. I do love this program. Quite the re-birth occurring for my enthusiasm for doing comics.

I liked this one because Jack found these extra planes for placing his figures.

  3. At least half of one. I'm digging Manga Studio. I feel like I'm cheating on Adobe. But I have to think of my needs too.

  8. The Tumblr guy means to publish EVERY Kirby cover on that Tumblr. Power to him. Hope Marvel doesn't thwart him. I'm doing a lot of high rez saving.

  9. Interesting that the Rawhide Kid's togs look very similar to the late 70s-early-80's Ghost Rider's riding leathers. I'm sure that's no coincidence.

  10. Not to mention it's resemblance to Thor's outfit.

  11. Kirby had a thing for large circular 'buttons' on costumes, didn't he? Certainly those discs created great contrast and were visually interesting without being too noisy. Very graphic and unique... part of his imprint and definition of the medium, I guess.

  12. Gods and cowboys dress alike. Hey, there's a title for a movie: "Gods and Cowboys".

  13. Cowboy shoots himself an Angel.

    Takes it back to town.
    Calls hisself Mercury.

The sun's going to be up for awhile in Shadetree.

There's some toga wearing hombres that look like they mean business at the edge of town.

  14. Ha! "Gods and Cowboys!" Love the setup...can totally see Kirby drawing this, too.

I loved the rawhide kid. Tho' I don't have any. I remember him and Hawkeye meeting at some point when Hawkeye was working on a dude ranch while on leave from the Avengers...?

Jimmy, Tom Moon, help me here.

  17. I've got a quick Stan Lee scenario sketched out. Now it's Kirby's turn. I used to buy Rawhide Kids. And The Two Gun Kid. That's Kirby growing up on the serials directly translated to paper.

  18. I don't know if I actually have any Rawhide Kid comics!

  19. Kid Colt, Rawhide Kid, Outlaw Kid, Two-Gun Kid, Ringo Kid. I think that's all of them.
