TAG Sampler Vol 1 is available NOW!

Get it HERE

I haven't added any mark up on Lulu, so I get no profits from selling it to TAG folks, or really anyone who finds it on Lulu.  Enjoy!

  1. Congrats Rick. Looks great. I ordered mine, regular mail, 9 bucks and change. Not bad at all. Can't wait till I have it in my grubby hands.

  2. I actually ordered two but the order didn't stick. I was to many steps into the order process to go back and edit. I guess one will do.

  4. My pal Lewis Hall ordered a copy from surfing onto the blog. They're flying off the shelf!

  5. I ordered 40 for Marty and I to sell at the convention. I sure hope I didn't make any huge mistakes. I tried to make sure that all of the stories started on a "front" page and double checked the sequence of pages to make sure they were in the proper order.

I have some friends who have used Kablam for printing. I think that they are probably cheaper, but they aren't on demand in the same way that Lulu is, their website is a mess and their turn around time is more like a month rather than a week.

  6. Hope you move them. You should be able to get 15 bucks or more for them. Those kinko sketchbooks typically sell for 10 and 20.

  7. How much do you plan to sell them for?

  8. ONE MILLION DOLLARS.

  9. This is way cool-- I must order one NOW!

    (But dinner first...)

    Thank you Rick!!

  10. Nice back cover. I clicked the preview. Going to be a great book.

  11. that back cover is by Royden Lepp, artist and writer for the graphic novel Rust. It's a terrific book... you should read it.

I'm thinking of $15 for the Sampler at the con, which gets you the book plus a sketch.

  12. On the other hand, if we go with Marty's plan and sell them for one million dollars apiece, we need only sell ONE, to all make a handsome profit together.

I ordered mine. I'm anxious to see the print quality. I've seen some Lulu printings that were not very good, but maybe that was due to paper quality and resolution choices on the part of the customer?

  13. And yes, thank you Rick for all your hard work!

  14. I like the price. $15 is a bargain. It should sell out. Pay for the table and maybe lunch.

  15. Yeah, that's my plan... $15 dollars for the book with a sketch in it.

  17. I just got the message that our copies shipped.

  18. Excellent. Hopefully you don't have too many glaring errors in your mass order. Of course that will make it collectible.

  19. And I just got an e-mail that says my one copy has shipped!

  20. Well sonnavasumpin . I have received no such notice. I'll be the Dave Descauteau of comic book orders. Order first, get yours last. Mine will be greasy and almost stop my heart.

  21. Mine is "preparing to ship." Used the links on the receipt to go to the tracking function. Did you guys getting shipped orders go for extra cost? I went as cheap as they offer.

  22. It cost me $22.50 to ship 10 of 'em to myself. Was 2/3rds the price to ship 5, if I remember right....

Gets here in 2-5 days, I think? this is the next level up from the slowest (Ellis) method of shipping.

  23. Arr. I've probably given my self the outside shipping date of 15 days. Crapadoodle

  24. Just got the "shipped" email. Now I can be happy.
