Perception Experiment - What Is It?

This is a drawing I've been working on. The actual drawing is 2000 x 3000 pixels. The resolution of this version is 20 pixels x 30 pixels. Can you still tell what it is? Best guess wins a date with Scott B. or George Clooney.

Ellis's guess is "John Wayne at the end of The Searchers" (depicted below).
Heck, I'm just going to put up the real picture tonight or tomorrow.

  1. John Wayne at the end of THE SEARCHERS, right before the cabin door closes.

  2. Can't wait to see the High Rez version. Even if it's not John Wayne

  3. Looks to me like a guy walking with some sort of building in the distance.

  4. I believe that may be Ultraman!

  5. Hahahahaha! You crack me up, Ellis.
Looks to me more like a runner, probably female, but since you say it's a drawing, and not a photo, the colors and other details need not be based in reality -- making the assignment tougher. I'm withholding my official guess, Tom, until you clarify whether we get to choose between Buncake and Clooney.

  6. Yes, absolutely you get to specify which one you want to date. And I have just gotten word that Chris Pine, the new young Captain Kirk, has volunteered to be a choice as well, in order to round out the age range you can pick from.

  7. My daughter Belinda is much more interested in "Spocky-poo" than Kirk.

  8. NEW Star Trek...blah!!!!!!!!! It a Caveman walking in the New Mexico desert.

  9. I just realized I have seen this picture before,. It's Buncake, nude, next to the dolphin tank at SeaWorld.

  10. After playing with this in PS for a bit I'm more of a mind that it's female.

I think there is something sticking out from her head, but I just can't guess at what it is.

  11. The actual file is something about a robot underwater, but I think that is meant to throw us off.

  12. It's a robot under water

  13. I'm trying to finish up the drawing now so I can post it early next week. All I'm going to say is that I think you will have a good laugh when you see it. I know I have.

  14. Very intriguing. There are a lot of good guesses so far but I'm not going to guess until the "prizes" start improving.

  15. I'm finding it amusing that several of the guys seem to be vying for these "prizes."

  16. Deane, if Scott were here I'm sure he'd ask how the prizes could possibly BE any better.

  17. I'm sure Scott, and the others, are very nice but what about a Major Award?

  18. All right, first off it's a bathing suit clad female running along the beach... SECONDLY, I've spoken to both George and Chris and NONE of us want to have anything to do with you people. We've pooled our resources and have bought the winner a new prize which is a hot bowl of filth from one of Chula Vista's worst roach coaches available.

    Suck on that.

  19. Oh how I miss roach coach filth! Does Liberty Cafe still stop at SOE? The breakfast burritos were the BEST!

This is starting to look a bit more like a faun or something... the legs look the the hind legs of a mammal and perhaps there are horns coming off of the top of it's head?

  20. "The Truck" still stops at SOE. It's not the same people though, and whether or not it's still the "Liberty Cafe", I'm not sure. I liked those breakfast burritos too.

  21. Maybe it's a girl at Epanema Beach in Rio de Janeiro, with the Sugarloaf Mountain (or the Corcovado) in the background.

    Greetings from Germany,
    Stefan

  22. Deane, that lamp link is an excellent gift idea. Who wouldn't want one of those as a room centerpiece.
